March 18 & 19, 2026 at the Hilton Buenos Aires Hotel & Convention Center

In an increasingly competitive online gaming ecosystem, BetPoncho is betting on a clear formula: local identity, technology, and regulated operations. As one of the only two platforms authorized to operate online in the province of Salta, the company has built its positioning around a strong connection with the local audience and a responsible entertainment offering. In this interview, the company shares its perspective on how regional roots can become a true competitive advantage, the role of regulation in contrast to illegal offerings, and the next steps to strengthen its growth within the Argentine market.

BetPoncho will participate in SAGSE South America 2026, taking place March 18–19 at the Hilton Buenos Aires Hotel & Convention Center, in Buenos Aires, one of the leading meeting points for the gaming industry in Latin America.

BetPoncho presents itself with a strong identity linked to Salta and today stands as one of the only two online platforms authorized in the province. How do you turn that local anchor into a real competitive advantage against larger or international brands?

At BetPoncho, we understand that being local is not just a communication resource; it is a strategic business decision. Our competitive advantage comes from truly knowing the territory—its culture, its codes, and the way players in Salta want to connect with an entertainment brand. Compared to more massive or international proposals, we can build real closeness, trust, and a sense of belonging.

That difference becomes tangible because we are not speaking about Salta from the outside. We operate with a genuinely local identity, with positioning designed specifically for the Salta audience and with a proposal that combines technological innovation, operational reliability, and a strong commitment to responsible gaming. In other words, we transform identity into brand experience, and that experience into player preference.

In addition, this closeness is supported by a serious and regulated model: identity controls, age verification, traceability, user support, and responsible gaming tools. For us, being local also means being more responsible, more accessible, and more relevant to our community.

In a context where legal and illegal offerings still coexist, what actions do you consider key for users to understand the value of playing on an authorized platform with controls and regulatory backing?

We believe the biggest challenge is not simply stating that a platform is legal, but translating that legality into concrete benefits for the user. When someone chooses an authorized platform, they are choosing clear rules, protection of their funds, protection of their personal data, formal support channels, complaint procedures, identity verification, and real responsible gaming tools.

For that reason, brand education is key: explaining in simple terms why a regulated platform better protects the player. Users need to understand that behind an authorized operation there is identity verification, fraud prevention, blocking of minors and self-excluded players, monitoring of risky behaviors, and auditable processes. This framework builds trust, but it also raises the standard for the entire industry.

When users perceive transparency, support, and the ability to respond effectively, they begin to clearly recognize the difference between a regulated brand and an illegal offering.

BetPoncho focuses on building close relationships with local players. Looking ahead, will the focus be on deepening that regional identity, expanding product and experience, or building greater scale within Argentina’s regulated ecosystem?

Our view is that it is not about choosing only one of those dimensions, but about building them in that order and with consistency. The first focus will continue to be deepening our regional identity, because that is the heart of BetPoncho: a brand designed for Salta, with local sensitivity and the ability to build a genuine connection with its audience.

On that foundation, the second step is to continue expanding product and experience. Today, users are not only looking for a functional platform; they want a reliable, agile, entertaining, and personalized experience. That is where technology, usability, customer service, and content play a central role. Our goal is for BetPoncho to be not only a local option, but also a very strong entertainment experience within the regulated ecosystem.

Finally, we do believe in scale—but scale built with responsibility, compliance, and a long-term vision. If BetPoncho succeeds in consolidating a solid model in Salta, combining identity, technology, regulation, and proximity, it can also become a growth case within Argentina’s regulated market. The combination of strong local roots and technological backing is precisely what can make the project scalable without losing its authenticity.
