SAGSE Reaffirms Its Commitment to Paraguay and Confirms Its Return to Hotel Casino Acaray in 2027
August 4, 5, and 6, Hotel Casino Acaray, Ciudad del Este.
SAGSE Paraguay reaffirms its commitment to the development of the Paraguayan gaming market and officially confirms its return to Hotel Casino Acaray in Ciudad del Este for August 4–6, 2027.
Following the success of its two main event days in 2026, SAGSE is strengthening its presence in Paraguay and raising the bar for a new edition that will further expand the event’s institutional, academic, operational, and commercial scope.
The 2026 edition welcomed more than 345 effective registrations, bringing together operators, regulators, government authorities, international sponsors, strategic suppliers, gaming floor technicians, security teams, surveillance personnel, operations staff, and industry leaders from across the region.
One of the most significant achievements was the quality of the audience. The event reached an approximate ratio of 2.75 operators for every supplier in attendance, reinforcing the boutique, invitation-only, decision-maker-focused profile that distinguishes SAGSE.
Two Days That Helped Shape the Future of the Paraguayan Market
The first day, held under the SAGSE Summit / University format, was designed for management teams, regulators, operators, and C-level executives, featuring an agenda focused on regulation, operations, market professionalization, sports betting, online gaming, omnichannel strategies, compliance, legal certainty, and opportunities for local operators.
The event featured strong institutional participation, including Luis Liseras, recently reinstated as President of CONAJZAR, within the broader institutional framework of DGJA / DNIT. A central panel addressed the present and future of the Paraguayan gaming market, bringing together regulators, operators, international suppliers, and legal experts.
A key segment of the agenda focused on illegal online gambling in Paraguay, emphasizing the need for coordinated action between government agencies, the judicial system, regulatory authorities, and the regulated private sector.
Another highlight was the presentation of LUCA and NOVA+, technology solutions developed by Córdoba Lottery, designed to protect minors and combat illegal online gambling in homes, schools, and sports clubs.
The executive agenda also included sessions on antifragile leadership, operational security, risk prevention, gaming floor control, surveillance, asset protection, and regional cooperation.
SAGSE Academy: A Fully Operational Day for Gaming Floor Technicians
The second day was dedicated entirely to SAGSE Academy / College, a practical and operational training program that brought together more than 150 gaming floor technicians, operations managers, security teams, surveillance personnel, and operational staff.
The program featured training sessions on applied gaming floor security, incident response procedures, coordination between technicians and surveillance teams, event documentation, anomaly detection, and operational best practices.
Additional technical content focused on online systems, communication protocols, machine connectivity, ticket validation, accounting systems, TITO, cashless technologies, testing procedures, fault identification, and technical responsibility within gaming venues.
The program also included a presentation on artificial intelligence applied to slot machine diagnostics, covering expert diagnostics, guided repairs, fault analysis, case management, team training, and technical support solutions.
The technical day concluded with a practical workshop focused on best practices for gaming floor technicians, maintenance procedures, operational control, security, measurements, ticketing systems, incident management, and machine connectivity, followed by diploma presentations, prize drawings, and awards for participants.
Through this format, SAGSE Academy / College established itself as a highly valuable, 100% operational training day for the industry, placing the professionals responsible for the daily functioning of gaming venues at the center of the conversation.
Hotel Casino Acaray 2027: SAGSE Raises the Stakes
Following the market’s response, strong regional attendance, and the support received from both institutional and private-sector stakeholders, SAGSE has confirmed its return to Hotel Casino Acaray in 2027, further establishing Ciudad del Este as a strategic hub for gaming in Paraguay and the wider region.
The next edition will take place on:
π
August 4, 5, and 6, 2027

The decision to confirm the 2027 edition this far in advance reflects the growth of the Paraguayan market, the increasing interest from international operators and suppliers, and the need to maintain a permanent platform for training, networking, and dialogue between the public and private sectors.
SAGSE Paraguay 2027 will build upon the experience developed in 2026 while preserving its defining characteristics: a boutique, exclusive, regional event focused on business, regulation, technology, operations, and professional development.
