What SAGSE Paraguay 2025 Left Behind: The Milestone That Validated Ciudad del Este as a Regional Gaming Hub
August 5, 6, and 7, Hotel Casino Acaray, Ciudad del Este.
The 2025 edition of SAGSE Paraguay marked a turning point for the regional gaming industry, bringing together operators, regulators, international suppliers, and an agenda focused on business, education, and regulation.
SAGSE Paraguay 2025 delivered a clear message: the Paraguayan market has gained its own relevance, and Ciudad del Este can serve as a true regional hub for the gaming industry.
Held at the Acaray Hotel Casino, the event exceeded expectations and welcomed more than 300 attendees in a boutique, executive, and highly focused format. One of the most significant achievements was the participation of 100% of Paraguay’s licensed operators, alongside companies and industry leaders from Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, and other regional markets.
This outcome was no coincidence. Ciudad del Este offered a strategic location at the Triple Frontier, naturally connecting Paraguay with Argentina and Brazil. In an industry where trust, proximity, and networking remain decisive factors, the event successfully combined high-value content, business relationships, and destination appeal.
The 2025 edition featured the participation of major operators and gaming groups such as Casino Club, Grupo Boldt, Solbet, Apostala, and Betsson, along with strong representation from the private sector and global suppliers. Companies highlighted throughout the event included Pragmatic Play, Evolution, Pay4Fun, GLI, Zitro, Konami, EGT, Merkur, Novomatic, IGT, Aristocrat, BMM TestLabs, DRGT, SoftSwiss, NetPampa, TotalCoin, Slot Line Cleaners, IGS, BYA Group, and numerous other firms representing technology, land-based gaming, online gaming, payments, certification, security, and specialized services.
The agenda itself was another key differentiator. SAGSE Paraguay 2025 was not limited to a trade exhibition; it combined technical training, academic analysis, executive education, and networking opportunities. The program featured courses for gaming technicians, decision-making sessions for executives, discussions on regulation, regional market analysis, online gaming, sports betting, artificial intelligence, marketing, digital audiences, and emerging technologies shaping the future of the gaming industry.
The event also benefited from strong institutional support. The participation of representatives from the National Directorate of Tax Revenue (DNIT), CONAJZAR, and APEJA reinforced the event’s role as a platform for dialogue between the public and private sectors. This component will become even more relevant heading into 2026, as Paraguay advances through a new phase of regulatory transformation.
The results of the 2025 edition confirmed several important realities: there is market demand, there is a need for information, there is strong international interest, and there is a local community willing to engage in discussions about the future of the industry.
For that reason, SAGSE Paraguay 2026 does not begin from scratch. It begins from a position of proven validation.
The next edition will be tasked with building upon that foundation and taking the conversation to the next level, focusing on regulation, competition, lottery operations, sports betting, online casinos, technology, compliance, supervision, payments, security, and investment opportunities.
SAGSE Paraguay 2025 demonstrated that Ciudad del Este can successfully bring the industry together. SAGSE Paraguay 2026, taking place on August 5, 6, and 7, will have the challenge—and the opportunity—of showing where the market is heading next.
